The Gangwon province including PyeongChang is known for its beautiful natural landscape, leading to many writers visiting the area and leaving many poems inspired by the natural setting. Moreover, various tales related to the terrain and famous sites have been relayed orally throughout generations. Such tales show the characteristics of the region to the outside world, while ensuring that the history and value that the region represent are handed down to the next generation.
We collected the various tales that have been orally relayed within the Gangwon region over generations and present them to our audience. However, the medium used for the delivery of this tale is not words but graphics.
전해진 풍경
평창을 비롯한 강원지역은 예로부터 빼어난 자연경관을 갖춰, 여러 문인이 이곳을 유람하며 자연을 노래한 시가를 많이 남겼다. 또한, 지형과 명소에 관련한 다양한 이야기가 구전되고 있다. 이러한 이야기는 밖으로는 지역이 가진 특색을 보여주고, 안으로는 지역이 가진 역사와 가치를 다음 세대에게 전달하는 중요한 문화다.
우리는 강원도 내에 구전되어 내려오는 여러 이야기를 수집했다. 그리고 이 이야기를 이어온 수많은 전달자처럼 우리도 이야기를 관객에게 전달한다. 다만 이야기를 전하는 형식은, 말이 아닌 그래픽이다.
